Issues moving PA dashboards between instances

So I created a PA dashboard with two tabs & a dashboard breakdown.   Tab 1 has 9 report widgets and two Static HTML content blocks.

Tab 2 has 4 PA Widgets with a couple widget indicators each.   When I moved update set to test, I received these update set preview errors:

At first I thought I was on crack, and didn't have my update set "on" before configuring.   So I started all over.   Fresh update set.   New dashboard.   Same content.   Same update set errors when pushing to test.

I feel like I must be missing something obvious.

Hey look, I'm not saying any of it is easy.   I'm just saying its a dangerous thing to linger over so many versions.
Messy update sets *are* annoying....

... but not as annoying as repairing the train wreck of moving a heavily developed PA solution between instances if you didn't *previously* know that migrating dashboards was different..   Now its blown deadlines, fed up customers, and reduced confidence in the product.

I know there's internal solutions to make this WAY easier (since people at mothership have already emailed them to me).   These need to be more highly visible   and integrated into the solution until a better way is fully developed.   How many of your PA customers do you think know how to migrate safely?

Yes, we're between a rock and a hard place. Broken update sets are the source of a fair amount of our incidents. I wish we would have implemented the push-button unload sooner.

In Kingston (much easier now) - Move a dashboard with an update set

In Jakarta and below - Move a dashboard with an update set

Thanks Adam!   You can stay.   Everyone else:   FIRED!

This isn't going to win me any friends, but it has to be said.   The reason this workaround needs to exist is among the most odious and offensive I've seen in 10 years with this platform.   Now that I have all the tabs and pages migrated over successfully, they've completely changed their sizes, and seem to have minimum dimension thresholds so they won't look the same as on Dev.

Its a ####ing shame that this stuff can't survive a journey from Dev to Test without this level of tomfoolery.   A crying ####ing shame.
