jpeg images on dashboard display only for me and not other users

I have a dashboard with multiple content blocks that contain jpeg images within the block.  The jpg files are in the blocks as attachments to the block.  The images display fine for me and I never had to do anything special to see them, but when I shared the dashboard publicly, no one else can see the jpegs.  They can see the text content but the jpegs either do not display anything at all or just display an x where the image should be.

Does anyone know why this would happen?  I'm inclined not to think it's a browser issue because I never had to change any of my settings, and it's not displaying for anyone else.

Hi Shae, Can you try to upload image into the image library instead of attachment. Hopefully this should work, as there should be no role restrictions for this. Best regards, Gokulkumar

Hi,

You may need to check your attachment read permission as you may have something like ITIL or Admin or something to where you can see it, but they can't. Do they have the same role(s) as you?

Hi Allen,

There were no permissions set anywhere on the attachment itself that I could locate, but yes, it was showing up for myself and others with similar roles (I think it may have been content_admin that allowed us to see them).

I was able to get around this by having an admin put the images in the image library and adjusting the content block code to reference the library location instead.

Thanks!

Thank you!

I was able to have an admin put the images in the image library and adjust the content block code to reference the library location instead.  Then all users were able to see the images.
