Labels use in Dashboards

Dear All,

Can anyone please explain the Use of the labels on Dashboard !

How can we customize this and the scenarios where this can be used.

Labels is the old name for tags. I'm frankly surprised to see it still shown anywhere in the system as Labels as Tags has been around for about four years. The clue was when I chose this option I recognized the tags from System Definition> Tags.
