Yokohama Patch 1
On our sub-prod instance, we used the migration tool to migrate to Platform Analytics and activated the migrated content. I'm confused about a few things I ran into afterwards.
- The classic reports menu is no longer available. It was my understanding that this would still be available after the migration. It was available to admin users when I tried this last year on an earlier family release (probably Washington). How do we access this in Yokohama?
- I also thought users would be automatically redirected to the migrated reports/dashboards. This doesn't seem to be the case. I impersonated several users and found that their default dashboard is not displayed; instead they are redirected to Platform Analytics --> Library --> Dashboards to select a dashboard.
Was my understanding incorrect or is this the expected behavior?
Thank you

Hi @mah1 ,
unfortunately, you cannot have both as the migration is a must the old world of reports will not be available any longer.
However, I found out, that table sys_report still exist, and you can open any reports from there in the old report generator. But the old dashboards are gone.
And regarding your second question: To the best of my knowledge there is no automatic redirect from the default dashboard to any new dashboards in the Platform Analytics world as both technologies are not compatible.

Hmmm... I guess I must have misunderstood. I thought these questions were brought up in the last Platform Analytics Academy session. I have been unable to find the last session to confirm but I'm almost positive they said everything would be updated to redirect to the migrated dashboards/reports.
Thank you

You didn't misunderstand, it's even in the blog post for recommend steps for migrating CoreUI content. It's under the "Activate" section in the migration center:
- All migrated content (Dashboards, Data Visualizations, Filers) are added to the PAe Analytics Center
- All links and navigation menu items are redirected to the PAe version of the content
- The legacy Performance Analytics navigation modules are hidden
https://www.servicenow.com/community/performance-analytics-blog/moving-from-classic-core-ui-reportin...
Really hoping this is just a communication hiccup as it's clear we're migrating content under the presumption that the links would redirect and that the old content would still be available to admins

Thank you for your question regarding the transition to Platform Analytics on your sub-production instance. At Sparx IT Solutions, we've assisted several clients with similar migrations and can clarify the behavior you're experiencing on the Yokohama release.
Firstly, regarding the Classic Reports menu, your understanding is partially correct. In earlier releases like Washington, the classic reports remained accessible for admin users post-migration. However, in the Yokohama release, ServiceNow has begun phasing out classic reporting in favor of the enhanced Platform Analytics experience. Once the migration is complete and content is activated, the Classic Reports module may no longer be visible, especially if it's been disabled by system settings or updated ACLs.
Secondly, the redirection to migrated dashboards does not happen automatically for users unless explicitly configured. Each user’s default dashboard must be manually set or assigned via roles, groups, or personalized settings. After migration, users may be redirected to the Platform Analytics Library by default, requiring them to select a dashboard manually.
This is expected behavior in Yokohama and not necessarily a misconfiguration. To streamline the experience, we recommend setting user-specific default dashboards using the sys_user or sys_user_group settings.
Let us know if you’d like help automating this process.
