Option to group by "Ordered date" for Pivot Table in Platform Analytics Workspace

Hi,

Is there a way to group by the date in pivot table in Platform Analytics Workspace?

It can be done via Excel like I shown in the attachment, but I am struggling to make it work in Platform Analytics Workspace.

My requirement is to make it group by month, and fiscal year.

I don't think it's feasible.

Hi @Shin Hui Chong

Group By is not available in Pivot in ServiceNow, so what you’re looking for isn’t a possible case here.

@Shin Hui Chong ,

You can’t directly group a date type field by month or fiscal year in a Platform Analytics Pivot Table visualization.....as the official docs note the Pivot Table simply aggregates the raw values of the chosen columns....The common workaround is to add a calculated or scripted field (for example Order Month, Order FiscalYear ) on the underlying table to store the month or fiscal year derived from the date, then use that field in the grouping for the pivot.........If you need true time series grouping (such as month, quarter, fiscal year) you may want to use a different visualization or leverage Performance Analytics indicators instead, because the Pivot Table doesn’t support built in date bucketing/grouping by period.........
