PA Year-to-Date SUM: How to Start Cumulative Count from a Specific Week/Date

Hi Community,

I am working on a requirement in Performance Analytics / Platform Analytics where I need to display the cumulative count of open incidents week-wise for a specific time period.

I have created a weekly PA Indicator called “State Open Incidents Weekly”. The indicator is collecting the required weekly scores correctly, and I am using this Indicator as the data source in a Platform Analytics dashboard visualization.

For example, if the indicator scores for the selected weeks are:

W27 2026 = 11
W29 2026 = 3
W30 2026 = 22
W31 2026 = 2
W32 2026 = 1

I want the visualization to display the cumulative values as:

W27 2026 = 11
W29 2026 = 11 + 3 = 14
W30 2026 = 14 + 22 = 36
W31 2026 = 36 + 2 = 38
W32 2026 = 38 + 1 = 39

In the Platform Analytics visualization, I am using:

  • Data Source: Indicator
  • Indicator: State Open Incidents Weekly
  • Frequency: Weekly
  • Visualization: Column
  • Time Aggregation: Year to date SUM

Using Year to date SUM gives me the cumulative behavior that I need. However, the issue is that the cumulative calculation starts from the beginning of the year (January 1).

My requirement is to start the cumulative calculation from a specific selected week/date, for example W27 2026, rather than from January 1.

If I select W27 2026 as the starting point, I want W27's score to be treated as the initial value and then add each subsequent week's score to the previous cumulative value.

I would like to know whether there is any configuration available in Performance Analytics / Platform Analytics to achieve a cumulative SUM for a custom time range rather than using the predefined Year-to-Date period.

Any suggestions or recommended approaches would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
