Platform Analytics - dashboards in compatibility mode

Yokohama Patch 1

On our development instance, we recently migrated to Platform Analytics and activated the content. The recommendation is to recreate content that is in compatibility mode but am running into issues doing so.

For example, I am trying to recreate a dashboard that has 3 tabs using the Technical Editor - tab 1 is a calendar report, tab 2 is another calendar report, and tab 3 displays a knowledge article. I selected Created Dashboard then selected Technical Editor.

  • I can see how to add a calendar report component to the dashboard. Once I do that, I don't see a way to add another tab. Can you create a dashboard with multiple tabs using the Technical Editor?
  • I see that I can add a Knowledge Content component to the dashboard but I don't see an obvious way to select/specify the knowledge article I want to display here. How do I do that? It automatically select one of our knowledge articles. I don't see how to change to the knowledge article I want displayed.
  • The migrated version of this dashboard has all 3 tabs but the tab with the knowledge article (compatibility mode) is just not usable. I don't see an option to edit this dashboard using the Technical Editor to replace the content migrated in compatibility mode. Does that mean the entire dashboard needs to be recreated using the Technical Editor to resolve issues with content migrated in compatibility mode?

Thank you

Thank you for your response.

I was able to get information on the Knowledge Content component so no need for you to spend time on that.

A data resource needs to be added using Get knowledge record details. It needs to be configured then bound to the knowledge content component on the dashboard. Sounds simple but took a bit of time for me to implement since I am not well versed using UI Builder and the documentation is sorely lacking.

Never mind about the tabs question.  I just noticed that there is a Tabs component under Add content.

Hi @mah1,

by default the Core UI dashboards are migrated as inline dashboards and not technical.
In case there is a need to transfer a dashboard to be from inline to technical, then there will be a need to recreate it fully. You might want to add the Data visualizations to the library and use the "Saved data visualization" component in the UI Builder to make the process a bit faster.

I will check regarding the Knowledge Content component.
We want to improve the Iframe capabilities in the inline dashboard as well and allow to Iframe KB articles or other content pages into the inline dashboard directly.

Thanks
