Good Morning,
I attended the knowledge2020 lab Make Better Business Decisions with Query Builder and they pointed me here for some assistance. There is an option to create a report off a query once it is placed on a schedule. However, when attempting to share the report it does not work for anyone but the person who ran the query or an admin. They suggested it has something to do with report access? Any ideas or help here? Its great functionality but not if I can't provide access to team members.

Sharing both the report and the dashboard does not work, publishing it also did not work. Users who otherview can use query builder and create their own reports can see the 'report' with no errors or security errors but it does not populate any records. I believe there is an ACL that blocks query builder results from displaying for anyone who did not create it. I am not sure why there was the original restriction However, with this new functionality I would think it needs to be addressed so multiple people can use the reports.

Keep in mind ACLs are still in play for a report when it comes to records and data. If the user you share the report with doesn't have permission to view the data you are trying to show, they will not see anything.
For example, if you're trying to show Project data. Trying sharing it with someone with the 'it_project_manager / user" role.
Here in this example I shared a dashboard with "Terrance" he DOES NOT have the roles and the report doesn't show for him
I also shared it with Fred who does have the it_project_manager role and the data shows up for him

I am aware of this which is why I brought up the fact there is an acl that (from my understanding) does not load the results for anyone other than the person who made the query. I am looking for some guidance on what sort of role or adjustments to acl's I would need to make to allow multiple people to see the new query builder results or what I was really hoping is that I am missing something easy. I also don't want to make changes to the ACL if it could cause issues for others using the query builder so I was looking to see if someone else has run into this. The new option is great but has limited usage if only one person can see the results.
The new instructions for Orlando. The note for view just says To view: Reporting role requirements might apply, see Administering reports for Reporting role requirements.
