Reporting in platform analytics

I have recently setup 2 new reports. They pull information from my service catalog. For example, details from the sc_task table.

I have discovered my instance is configured (Zurich) with PA governance enabled. This seems to be a somewhat recent policy enforced in recent updates.

And so, I am a bit stuck. I am unable to add the new reports to platform analytics. And the instance is forcing me away from creating new (classic) dashboards and adding the reports there.

It appears I cannot use platform analytics to get the information I want from my service catalog. Which is too bad. And guidance appears to be to move away from classic reporting.

Suggestions as to how to get the information in my reports to my teams?

Thanks!

Thanks Anders. It looks like the platform converted during a recent upgrade, opposed to us initiating that. So, I have my answer. Appreciate the assist. Regards.

Can you give some more insights according to your comment "I am unable to add the new reports to platform analytics"? What error do you see? What happens?

Hello Anders, regards.
There is no error. I want to add some existing reports to my PA dashboard. The idea being that we would get a unified view of reports and analytics in one place. It seems that I am unable to add existing reports to any PA dashboard - I could be wrong, but my understanding is PA dashboards cannot show reports because PA does not work with records — it only works with aggregated measurements.

Hi @Wayne DeCoste

It very much depends if you have converted to platform analytics or not. Basically, a PA report can for sure contain standard reports, but if you have converted to platform analytics, ServiceNow will lock them as read only. Based on this you should only utilize platform analytics and not pa_dashboard etc.
