Reporting on Installed CIs for the Last 6 Months - Need Help

Is it possible, and if it is, how can I accomplish creating a report that will basically take a screenshot of what devices on a CMDB computer table were in an 'Installed' install status at the end of the month for the last 6 months?

CIs change Install Status often, but would need a trend type report that will show what CIs were installed at the end of the month last month compared to the month before, for 6 months. 

I do have performance analytics available, but unsure how I can accomplish this requirement.

Create a Monthly Indicator source on the mentioned table and set conditions like "Install status is Installed" and any further if necessary to further limit the scope of data.

Then create an Indicator for this source. Configure it to Aggregation "Count" and check "Collect records".

Add the Indicator to a Scheduled Data Collection Job [sysauto_pa] to run monthly on the last day of the month.

Finally, create a data visualization with the Indicator as the data source and voila, you have a visualization which will update monthly and show how many CIs were in Installed state at the end of each month.

Unfortunately this will only be useful for after it is created, it is not possible to collect this data historically.
