Hi folks, I am new to reporting and dashboards. I have copied existing reports and modified them to meet the new requirements. I am attempting to add them to a new dashboard, but they are not showing up when I search. The ones I copied are showing but not the new ones. Am I missing something with the new reports? How can I get them on the new dashboard?

Hey @sseverance
The most common reason is report visibility/sharing, especially when copied reports are visible but newly created reports are not.
I would check the following:
Verify the report is saved
Go to Reports > All and confirm that the new report exists and is active. Make sure all changes were saved after modifying the copied report.
Check report sharing
Open the new report and check the Sharing / Who can see this settings.
If the report is private or restricted to certain roles/users, it may not appear when selecting reports for the dashboard.
Compare with a working report
Since the copied reports are appearing, this is the easiest way to troubleshoot.
Compare one working report with one that is missing:
Owner
Application
Scope
Roles
Sharing
Active status
Usually you will find a difference in one of these areas.
Check Application/Scope
Make sure the new report belongs to the same application/scope as the dashboard or is accessible from that scope. Cross-scope/report visibility can sometimes prevent it from appearing in the picker.
Search using the exact report name
When adding the report to the dashboard, try searching for the exact name of the new report rather than keywords.
Verify dashboard permissions
Also confirm that you have permission to edit the dashboard and that the users who need to see the dashboard also have access to the reports.
Note
I would first compare a report that appears with one that doesn't. If the report exists under Reports > All but doesn't appear in the dashboard's report selection, sharing/roles and application/scope are the first things I would check.
You generally don't need to recreate the report. Once the appropriate visibility/access settings are corrected, it should become available to add to the dashboard.

Hi @sseverance ,
I think these are legacy report and Dashboards (not Platform analytics)
Make sure your copied report are saved and check here on you dashboard
