Hi all,

there is a way to give a user the ability to sharing reports/dashboards with everyone without the ability to edit these reports?
none of the reports role help here.
I think about create new ACL for this but the problem is how to give the option to 'share', it isn't an operator that we can use in the ACL record.

any help?

I don't want him write any fields, just to share it (the report).
I didn't get it with with any ACL.

If the report is not sensitive you can make its "Sharing" Global. That way if he does try to change it, the system will automatically save him a copy in his Personal Reports but keep your original intact. I do this for all of the reports I create for my team members to use on company dashboards I create for them. That way they have the ones created to management specs, but they can also customize them (and create copies) if they want to.

If it is sensitive data, I have kept a copy of the report in my personal reports and let them have access to the one that they need to see. That way if they do make changes to it (even though I have asked them not to), I can always recover the original and get the criteria back to where it needs to be.

Hope that's helpful,

Hi Aviv,

You can share the reports even without publishing or giving ay roles.

Below is the sceenshot for reference.

Hi,
the problem is this user that can share it also can edit/update it. I want to prevent this action from the user.
according your screenshot the user can edit the conditions / name etc..and save the report.

After sharing this report with the users, add it to any home page or dashboard and give only read role for ITIL and write role for ITIL admin
