Sharing Option not visible for REPORT ADMIN

Hi All,

A user created a report on the Platform and Report Admin wants to share that report.

But the sharing and other options are not visible.

Is there any specific reason?

I reproduced this use case with a Out-of-box report "Service Portal KB Article Views" which Report admin was not able to share.

Then i realized that the user also needs a sp_admin access to share this report.

My conclusion: Adding itil role should do the trickfor all platform applications. Exception to it is only Scoped Applications reports ( like HR) which needs specific Aplication level access to Reporting admin.

Hope it all makes sense!!

I am sorry that I did not ask that, itil role is definitely needed.  I was thinking that the user had that by default and then you added report_admin.

I am glad you were able to figure it out.

Is it due to Application Scope of Report - being Global or in some scope?

Hi Anubhav,

The user might have created  the report and hence its not global, as an admin can you find the report from the Reports table and make it Global. once done i think it should be available to view for report_admin too and can change the sharing option then accordingly.

Please Mark as ✅ Correct if this solves your issue and also mark ???? Helpful if it helps resolve your problem.

Thanks,

Hi Sajilal,

By Admin do you refer to Platform Administrator?

Also id user has created the report then it should be visible to report_admin to edit.Is there any private scope?
