Sharing Option not visible for REPORT ADMIN

Hi All,

A user created a report on the Platform and Report Admin wants to share that report.

But the sharing and other options are not visible. 

Is there any specific reason?

I reproduced this use case with a Out-of-box report "Service Portal KB Article Views" which Report admin was not able to share.

Then i realized that the user also needs a sp_admin access to share this report.

My conclusion: Adding itil role should do the trickfor all platform applications. Exception to it is only Scoped Applications reports ( like HR) which needs specific Aplication level access to Reporting admin.

I figured out a work around.  If the report_admin can see the report in the sys_report.list table, then have them go into it there and the they will see a Edit Report button.  I have attached a video of it.

Thanks Thomas. The report admin is exactly doing these steps but all the options are not visible (including that of sharing). 

Will post the solution once we arrive to it.

Ok, I hate to ask this, but are you sure they are a report_admin?  That video is of me doing it on my Instance, the report_admin should see the same thing I did.  I created a user that only had report_admin and was able to do that. Very interesting.

Yes for Demo in my PDI i have assigned juser only report_admin and it works like a candy!!

However in live environment the target user has atleast report_admin as I can see the Reporting Administration section in Application Navigator.

 

At this point I would put in an Incident with HI, something else seems to be going on.
