Simple List in Platform Analytics is missing basic functionality

Hi there.  wondering if anyone has any ideas or suggestions on simple lists.  Here are three things that are a problem for us with #1 being a showstopper for us to migrate before being forced as this will interrupt a lot of users.

Description: The reporting team has identified an issue with simple lists in Platform Analytics that is a showstopper for the Platform Analytics Migration project. 

1. You cannot export a simple list from the dashboard. In the current reporting module you can right click on a column > export > excel but in Platform Analytics this is not possible. This is the major show stopper for us as many users use this functionality to pull out data and do more analysis on it.
2. View all on the list view will take you out of the dashboard and into a list view but does not keep the original fields from the simple list on the dashboard. This would not be a solution for exporting because the fields would not be correctly showing. There is also no way to page through the data so you have to set the max rows to show at a very high number if you are bringing back active aging tickets. if you show only 100 or 200, and there are more than that, the only way to see the data is to view all, but you lose the columns from the report.
3. When creating your simple list, you can only add one field at a time. In the personalization gear you can use a checkbox to pick fields but when creating it for everyone, you cannot. One at a time is very inefficient and time consuming as many of our users have 15-20 columns in their lists. The default fields that appear when creating are a good start but as soon as you add a field, all of those default values disappear.

Anyone know if any of these are in the works to at least put simple lists to the same behavior as in native reporting?  I am disappointed that simple lists look like they were an after thought and bare bones functionality has been put in making it fairly useless.

I'd like to also voice that the 'view all' link down the bottom of 'Simple List' does not follow any filters applied to the view - resulting in the subsequent list view showing content not relevant to the initial filtered results.

If the interactive filters on the PA dashboard could be passed across to the list opened it would be ideal.

Another missing functionality in the Platform Analytics Simple List (but also other elements that opens the Data Record) is to: Open the record in a new tab.

In the old Reporting and Dashboard, the link is a normal HTML link, which is despite covered by Javascript, it will still work with: Ctrl + Click, and it will open the link in the New Browser Tab. 

In Platform Analytics it is now a Javascript link

• Right Click for the browser menu and Open link in new tab also does not work.
  
• Ctrl + Click on the Link also does not work.

Where else can we submit Ideas to ServiceNow? This downgrade compared to the old Dashboard on few simple things are really preventing us to migrate to Platform Analytics.

It seems like it's not possible to group by more than one field in a simple list on the dashboard. Did I miss something, or is this really not supported? It is a very basic but important feature to have.

Hi @NimunK,
till Yokohama in the List-SImple component in the header UI you can see the option to switch between group by. Each group by will apply separately and replacing the previous one.

From Zurich, we will release the option to switch between group by also of not visible columns. Similarly to the capabiliy of alternative group by as in Core UI report list.
