Unable to dot-walk in Breakdown Mapping, but dot-walking works correctly in the PA Dashboard filter.

Hi All,

I am trying to map a field in a Breakdown for Performance Analytics. The challenge I am facing is shown in the attached screenshots.

In the dashboard filter, I am able to dot‑walk successfully. For example:
problem.originTask.Incident[Table].caller_id.department_business_unit

However, when I move to Breakdown field mapping, I am not able to achieve the same level of dot‑walking. I can only dot‑walk up to:
problem.originTask

Notes / Details:

  • The backend name of Origin Task is first_reported_by_task
  • For every Problem, an Incident is attached
  • The Problem table has a field called Origin Task, which is a reference to the Task table

Similarly, for the task_sla table:

  • In the dashboard filter, I can dot‑walk as:
    task_sla.incident[Table].caller_id.department.business_unit
  • But in the Breakdown mapping, I cannot achieve this dot‑walking

Objective: We are trying to measure performance business‑unit wise, but the limitation in breakdown field mapping is preventing this.

Please let me know if there is a workaround or recommended approach to achieve this.
