Unable to report on 'string value' in the asmt_metric_result table.

Hi all,

I'm trying to write a report from the asmt_metric_result table.    This question I want a report on based on the template-type using the out-of-box smily faces.   It's a bar chart against a certain survey question called 'Overall Satisfaction'.   When I view the asmt_metric_result table there is a field called 'string_value' that is what I'd like to group my report on however in the reporting interface this field is not available to me.   Anyone have this happen to them?

Also, when I few this metric in the survey scorecard...it looks exactly how I want this report to look (minus some filtering we need to do for our dashboard report).

Current Version is Kingston Patch 4.

Thanks,

Craig

Interesting, i have just our report and I can see the String Value field. Can you please put a screenshot of your report with the slush bucket, filter conditions, table etc.

Thanks!

Sure...here you go.  I thought it might be related to being a group field on a pie chart (as shown here) but I'm not able to select it for visible column in a list report either.

Thank you. I see you want to group by String Value. I don't think you can do that because string value is kind of a text/string field and is Group by cannot populate the data according to the information in the String Value. Generally, I don't think it is possible for the system to display the based on Grouping the string, as it is really isn't a flag on the Assessment table.

String value can be available in the filter conditions and in the slush buckets, but I don't think you can group by on that field for the above reason.

Please hit correct based on impact of solution.

Regards!

I thought that might be the case too which is why I tried to make a report using the list view test if I could add 'string_value' to that report as a column.   Didn't show up there either.

I also tried testing making a pie chart on the incident table where the group by is short description...worked perfectly (granted it isn't a very useful report but it is possible):
