EU/UK users should get a pop-up message asking them whether they want to opt-in to advanced user tracking.
Investigating how they can change their preference at any point later in time I found this documentation where it explains how to do it on mobile and on the web UI.
I am wondering why the documentation does not show how a user can achieve the same via the portal, considering that end users would not normally have back-end access.
There is a portal option under User Profile > User preferences > Enable Analytics but my testing shows that if I change the tracking option on mobile, it does not update the portal preference to follow as it happens with the web UI. So I can end up having the option disabled on mobile but enabled on the portal. Is this expected behavior? If so what is actually tracked in this scenario?
