Visualization question variable in a simple list

We have several dashboard that contain variables from catalog items, after moving the the PAE.  Thy are no longer displayed. 

If I choose the columns to display in the simple list  in my example I choose 3 columns the number the short description and a variable.  It was simple enough but when attempting to add the column nothing is displayed.
