Welcome to ServiceNow (Xanadu) Assessment Simulator Task 6 Validation Failure

Hello,

I am working on the Welcome to ServiceNow (Xanadu) Assessment Simulator Task 6: Create a Dashboard and Add a Visualization.

I completed the required steps:

- Impersonated Platform User
- Created dashboard: My Incidents Overview
- Created bar chart: Incidents by Priority
- Group by = Priority
- Stack by = None
- Aggregation = Count
- Color Palette = Default UI14
- Added the chart to the dashboard

The task validator still fails.

Additionally, after the lab instance restarted, Platform User began receiving:

"You cannot create dashboards at the moment. Contact your system administrator to request permissions."

The dashboard and report were previously visible and configured correctly, but the assessment continues to fail validation.

Can someone please confirm whether this is a lab instance/permission issue or if there is an additional requirement for the assessment validation?

Thank you.

ahoy @PapoluJaswanth,

if the progress is not validated, you might try to do the steps again from scratch

BTW how did you manage to have that course available? it's been retired:

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

This course is currently still available in my Now Learning account, so I was able to launch the simulator and access the assessment tasks.

I have already tried repeating the dashboard exercise multiple times from scratch. I created:

  • Dashboard: My Incidents Overview
  • Visualization/Report: Incidents by Priority
  • Bar chart with Priority grouping only
  • Color Palette: Default UI14
  • Added the chart to the dashboard

However, the assessment validation still fails.

I also noticed that after my lab instance restarted, I began receiving the message: "You cannot create dashboards at the moment. Contact your system administrator to request permissions."

Because of this, I am wondering if the issue is related to the lab instance permissions or simulator validation rather than the configuration itself.

Have you encountered this issue before, or is there any additional step required for the assessment validator?

Thanks for your help.
