When a PA Job collection has errors, is there the ability to send Notifications?

I recently received work from customers that the PA widgets don't reflect accurate data. It turns out the Data collection job was collecting with errors and I had not way of knowing.  What practice do others use to ensure they are aware of issues with data collections?  Is there a way to setup email notifications?

You can configure email notification on pa_job_logs and pa_job_log_rows tables to send notification for any errors.

Hi Christine,

You can create notifications based on PA events. The event you will need for errors is called "pa.job.dc.ended.with.error". There are also events for when collection jobs end with warnings only.

Do you have to set this up for all Data Collection jobs or just create one and will identify the job that ended in error in notification?

One notification will work for all PA data collection job.
