Good day, everyone,
We recently implemented Employee Center Pro and are using it as our company intranet. As adoption grows, several departments have expressed interest in having their own team pages that contain department-specific information, resources, and links.
In our previous SharePoint-based intranet, departments were able to manage and update their content directly, allowing changes to be made quickly without moving through development, test, and production environments.
I'm interested in hearing how others are handling this within Employee Center Pro:
- Do you allow department users or content owners to manage and update their own pages?
- If so, are they making changes directly in production, or do updates follow a formal promotion process through development and test environments?
- How do you balance content governance and quality control with the need for departments to keep their information current?
I'd appreciate any insights, lessons learned, or best practices you've adopted.
Thanks in advance!

yes....prepare micro site templates for them to really lock down what they can edit...things like pictures, text..nothing fancy. prod directly and no governance..it's theirs and if they screw it up, they will call us.

Yes, that's the direction we have taken as well.
We have a small team responsible for the look and feel. Contributors can then create new content within the predefine template.
