What's New in the Q4 Store Release?
This release introduces several major enhancements that make security management easier, smarter, and more effective.
1. Access Management Console.
It provides a direct interface for managing access findings and direct access to Access Analyzer. Here, you can evaluate permissions for any user, role, or group—ensuring the right individuals have the appropriate permissions at the right time.
On the overview page, you’ll also find Additional Resources, including links to learning materials and platform security documentation. The “Learn More” button takes you to the Security Center’s Learning Page, where you can explore all security products and resources.
Users can mute findings, resolve them, or click for detailed information—including roles, related tables, fields, and resolution steps. Each finding provides clear instructions for remediation, and users can mark issues as resolved or create security tasks directly from the findings page.
Muted findings are tracked in a dedicated tab, allowing users to revisit and re-open them as needed.
2. Access Findings.
Access Findings are at the heart of proactive security management. The Access Finding Tool runs eight different checks daily on your instance. If a check fails, it creates a finding for review and resolution.
The 8 checks include:
1. External Users with Access to Classified Data
2. Inactive Users with Assigned Roles
3. Users with Direct Role Assignments (Bypassing Groups)
4. Dormant User Account (Hasn’t been used in 100 days)
5. Empty ACLs
6. Access Control on Client callable Script Includes
7. External Users with Access to Classified Data
8. Access Controls on Tables
3. Access Checks.
Access Checks are performed every 24 hours, ensuring your environment is continuously monitored for potential risks. The Access Management Console’s findings feature is reflected on the Security Center main page, making it easy to review and act on access issues.
