Hi all,
I am preparing internal documentation about platform analytics, and I have been searching for better articles or documentation. Could you please support me here?
- how to configure Platform Analytics
- how to create dashboards
- what is the difference between standard dashboards as we use them right now and the new features Platform Analytics give us

Hey Sohail,
Platform Analytics is a specialized subject. To be honest there are not many resources out there that talk about it technically in depth. Of course, you'll find theory, definitions and how cool it is and all.
But you need to get down and dirty and implement it in an instance to really understand it. Or find somebody who has.

At this moment, you really need to do the work yourself. The Platform Analytics Academy sessions will show you a lot, but at this moment, you will have to create everything yourself. Just create a dashboard and start doing it. Make screenshots and show what you see.
Use the migration tool and include what it does. And also what it doesn't yet migrate. Check release notes for Washington and Xanadu to get the latest features.
This is your chance to become an expert. The guide for your clients and colleagues, but it is something you need to become yourself through trial and error. I have written blogs and instructions and I can help my colleagues if they have questions, but only because I did it. I can't tell them to look for it somewhere, because it's not there. It's an opportunity. And it's up to you to grab it.
Please mark any helpful or correct solutions as such. That helps others find their solutions.
