"Instance Offline: Recovery may take long. You can wait, or release it now to request a new one."

Hello everyone,

I have been facing an issue with my free Personal Developer Instance (PDI) for the last 3 days. The instance status shows:

Instance Offline: Recovery may take long. You can wait, or release it now to request a new one

The problem is that I have a very important project on this instance, and I cannot release it because I would lose all of my work. I have already waited for three days, but the instance still has not recovered.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Is there any way to speed up the recovery process or request assistance without releasing the instance? I would really appreciate any advice or guidance from the community, as this project is very important to me.

Thank you in advance for your help.

ahoy @zk392061,

could you possibly share a screenshot? I have never heard of such error and am curious to see it.

I wrote this article about states in PDI: [GF#5] PDI in Offline state: Resolving Error 502 Bad Gateway (snow_adc)

What you can try is to accessing your current PDI with /login.do it is explained in the article, no guarantee but trying doesn't cost you anything

Hello @zk392061 ,

Since ServiceNow PDIs do not have dedicated support, if your instance is went to hibernation then you can either wait for some time and see if the instance comes back online . However, if you request a new instance, all data from the previous instance will be lost.

Also, keep this in mind: always take regular backups of your work using Update Sets. This helps you recover your customizations and development work in situations like these.

If you are facing Servicenow instance waitlist  issue then  Nowdays this common issue faced by multiple users .

You must  refer this , it will help you to  :

Hi @zk392061

Many community member now-a-days facing this issue.

Due to high demand following a new platform family release, PDI pools for the Australia version are currently experiencing errors or waitlisting. These days lots of similar issue reported.

I will suggest you to Wait  for PDI request to be provisioned if your request is  already waitlisted.  Do not cancel your request, as you will lose your spot.

Support is not available for PDI .

Note:You can try releasing your current request and requesting an earlier version (e.g., Zurich ), as they may have more availability . But Community members reported that there is also having waitlist issue.
