What is kcs plugin, what features will be rolled out after installing ?

What is the use of kcs plugin, what will be the major features after installing, 

i have seen with out installing the plugin able to create knowledge from incident, i don't see any additional features, why servicenow has rolled out, already it has aqi, and all those features, what so much special about kpi, why kpi plugin(com.snc.knowledge_kcs_capabilities). anyone can help me on this.

hello @AndersBGS ,

I have read the document and article related  to kcs :ServiceNow Knowledge Management Quick Start Guide,  but my question is i have installed the kcs plugin, and i found major difference is 3 roles has been included and couple of acl has been present in the system and couple of fields confidence and  governance has been introduced apart from that what is the use of kcs plugin with top of normal out of box features present in the plugin, does this i can considered as kcs is as process ?

when i install the plugin does it impact anything, or what is the exact use of the plugin, if you know that's really helpful for me ,your inputs are appreciated.
