Associated Plug-In updates for Data Collection for Oracle Global Licensing and Advisory Services

Hi All,

 

We are looking to implement Data Collection for Oracle Global Licensing and Advisory Services in our ServiceNow Environment, our CMDB Team is concerned with the associated plug-ins being updated to later versions. Does anyone have any documentation of what version the below plug-ins are updated too when we implement 'Data Collection for Oracle Global Licensing and Advisory Services' Version: 1.11.0


  • CMDB CI Class Models (sn_cmdb_ci_class)
  • Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns (sn_itom_pattern)
  • Expanded MOdel and Asset Classes (sn_ent)
  • Visibility Content (sn_Pattern_design)
  • Data Foundation Model (sn_cmdb_foundation)

Hi @Kyle Shanks, 

I checked with our instance and SN does not provide any details about the min. req. version. The shown links and the update process points always to the latest version per plugin. (Screenshot with a random example). You could reach out so SN support and ask for the min. req. version.

I understand the team's concerns and the associated effort involved in reviewing each individual update, etc., but a lot has happened recently, especially with Oracle GLAS, and sooner or later you will have to/should update all plugins.

It's a best practice to keep the CMDB CI Class Models plugin at the current version. Not just for the Oracle use case.
