ServiceNow named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for SaaS Management Platforms

ServiceNow has made significant investments in SaaS management. We were positioned in the Niche Players quadrant in 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for SaaS Management Platforms. ServiceNow is now in the Leaders quadrant in the June 2026 edition. The report evaluates vendors on Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision, and we think ServiceNow’s placement reflects significant progress in both.

For most customers, the hard part of SaaS management isn’t finding applications. It’s acting on what they find. Reclaiming unused licenses, matching spend to contracts, and assigning ownership to the right business leader all benefit from the discovery data and the workflow being in the same place. That’s the problem we solve.

Since the report, our release cadence has adapted to match how our customers use the product. We still provide broader platform releases on a biannual schedule for stability and upgrade planning, but AI capabilities can ship every month.

Gartner analysts note that the market is moving quickly, with AI-related spend, consumption-based licensing, and shadow AI entering scope. We’re already providing coverage here in our Cloud Cost Management solution and we add governance through the ServiceNow SI Control Tower - now included with our ITAM solutions.
