Consumable Software Packages best practice

Hi,

We are a hospitality company, and we sell access to the internet through various 'consumable' internet packages.

We are struggling to identify an appropriate way of storing these records in ServiceNow. Initially we have though to extend the service [cmdb_ci_services] table, but I don't think this is the right way to define them.

We have also thought of adding them to the consumable asset table [alm_consumable] as they have a cost and asset attributes, however they should not become CIs once consumed.

We have also considered these to be contracts, as users will purchase these under agreement for a specific period of time.

Looking for guidance on what would be the best option here, as I realize there might not be one answer to how to approach this.

Thanks!

It would help if we know what you are already using. Is it just ITSM or are you also using CSM, including the consumer part? It sounds more like sold products than CI's, hence my asking.

HI Mark, Currently only using ITSM in this regard.
