Create "Entitlement" for Microsoft Products

We are implementing SAM Pro.
Our organization has purchased the following licensing rights.
Which of the list below should be registered as Entitlement?
When I purchase an E5/E3 license, some of the lists below are included.
Can you give me a guide if I need to register all of the lists as Entitlement, or only the top-level licenses(E3/ E5../ O365..)?
Will "Reconciliation" come out properly if I register them all?
I would appreciate it if you could let me know Best Practices.

Hi @jinhuis,

Best practice is to create an individual entity in the SAM tool for each purchase made. In the example you have given, we are talking about the complete M365 Suite, which contains many products, and licenses for individual products that only allow their use.

The Publisher Part Numbers shown in the table are not the PPNs expected by the system, they are rather identifiers. However, to facilitate the on boarding process, the correct PPNs are necessary and can usually be found on the invoice documents. Here are some examples:

In order for the SAM reconciliation process to calculate an initial license balance, the technical inventories with hardware and software details are required in addition to the commercial data. This is best achieved by using ITOM Discovery for servers/data centers and SCCM/Intune/ACC-V Agent for clients. However, your Discovery team should support you in this.

the NowLearning Portal and the Ranger Sessions on SAMP also address the topic of Entitlement Onboarding and PPNs
