Discovery of licensed and unlicensed Software

Hey Folks, Can  ServiceNow discovery discover the software and show the licensed or not ?

could you please add more context/details to your question? My answer is based on your "questions".

 

Software installation data imported from various discovery sources (Discovery, SCCM, Tanium, Agent, ...) are grouped into discovery models and normalized by SAM Pro and the SAMP Content library. A discovered and mapped product contains details about the "Product Type" and this could be e.g., "Licensable", "Not Licensable" and others. (SN Docs: Discovery models and software installations (servicenow.com) )

 

The answer to your question is "Yes", Discovery in combination with SAMP is able to discovery and categorize software into licensable or not licensable. Based on these details and onboarded entitlements, the Software Asset Workspace will give you details about the compliance status per publisher/products.
