HAM Pro Licensing and devices falling outside the four Resource Categories

My organization implemented HAM Pro in Tokyo and recently moved to Utah and realized there was a shift in the HAM Pro licensing model from just deciding to opt-in/opt-out of the four resource categories of Computer, Server, Network Gear, and Mobile Device, to also needing to set the Exclude from HAM features checkbox.

PROBLEM:  The HAM Pro features, such as Loaner Asset, Disposal, Refresh, that worked fine in Tokyo for computer peripherals (monitors, printers, docking stations, etc..) aren't working in Utah because ServiceNow is defaulting them to be "Exclude from HAM = True".

QUESTION:  Is HAM Pro designed to ONLY work with Computers, Servers, Mobile Devices and Network Gear, and Computer Peripherals such Monitors, Printers, Docking Stations will need to continue using HAM classic/core?

Hi,

From my understanding, those types of things should still be able to use Loaner Asset, Disposal, etc. I'm unsure about them defaulting to be excluded, but if they're a hardware or consumable asset record, then per the documentation they should be able to use hardware asset features (as mentioned above). I would review the category overall and look at the opt-in and assets themselves for exclude from HAM setting and set it to false, instead of true, and then go from there. See if it works for you, etc.
