How do YOU keep track of open source software?

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for suggestions for keeping track of software products that are open source, preferably something out-of-box. The end goal is to be able to easily report on these titles, whether it be from model, entitlement, or product tables.
After reading through the forums and previous suggestions online, here is what I am finding:
1. Some suggest making open source product types "not licensable" - this does not allow me to differentiate between free closed-source and free open source products
2. Add a custom checkbox to the model to flag open source products - this could work, but would love to see if anyone is utilizing something out of box instead
3. Utilize the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) workspace - this could be a good option too, but again it would be nice if we could determine this using a table from the SAM module
Does anyone else have experience dealing with this? How do you keep track of your open source software?
