I want to know how to manage unlimited license entitlement or how we track licenses for these licens

I  have some entitlement with unlimited license and client want to create allocation for them ,so is it possible in SAM Pro to track licenses with unlimited license.

your suggestion would help me.

Hello @jyoti pawar 

 

No , as per OOB configuration there is no such way to handle unlimited entitlements in SAM Pro, you may need to go for enterprise version for this. 

 

However, there is this below 👇 workaround - 

 

Set Entitlement Quantity as a High Number (Workaround)

Steps:

 

1)Go to Software Entitlements (alm_license).

 

2)Set License Type as Per User / Per Device based on the model.

 

3)In the Quantity field, enter a very high number (e.g., 9999999).

 

4)Assign it to users/devices normally.

 

SAM Pro won’t trigger compliance issues unless actual allocations exceed this number.

That's right, you can track them using SAM Pro, While creating or importing an entitlement, you can select the Unlimited license check box on the Software Entitlement page or on the Import Entitlement page.

Hi Sandeep,

 

As a sam_user cannot see the unlimited license checkbox when adding entitlements.  Can a sam_admin turn this feature on for me or would this require the help of a ServiceNow Developer?
