Hello friends,
We came across one of the IBM application for SAM, which by PPN populates IBM as Metric Group and License Metric as Resource Unit Value. Even after populating the related Resource Values table-samp_sw_resource_value its not taking this value in consideration.
When checked over Gemini/Copilot, the advice given is to configure it as custom license metric and have calculations done- I tried this and worked correctly.
Which one should follow? Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Rahul

Hi @RahulY00040 , IBM RUV isn’t the same as Resource values.
per definition:
An IBM Resource Value Unit (RVU) is a licensing metric where software entitlements are based on the number of units of a specific resource used or managed by the program.
We’ve connected the IBM ILMT system with SAM Pro to get trustworthy consumption data for VPC, PVU and RUV products into SAM Pro.
