We investigated why usage and license consumption metrics are not being generated for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise (device), while the same Microsoft 365 integration is successfully generating subscription and usage information for user-based products such as E5 and E7.
The device-based product is recognized in ServiceNow under subscription identifier OFFICE_PROPLUS_DEVICE1. The backend purchased subscription record shows 107 purchased rights, but 0 assigned rights, and there are no device-level subscription records. Although Microsoft 365 Apps is discovered on multiple Windows servers, those installations are not counted against the device-based software model, resulting in 0 licenses required and 0 rights consumed.
Can someone confirm whether the ServiceNow Microsoft 365 integration supports importing Microsoft Entra group-to-device assignments and generating usage or license consumption metrics for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise (device)? If supported, which table should contain the assigned-device records, and should the assigned-rights value reflect devices licensed through the Entra group?
