Model category is getting autoset when we create a Software model

Model category is getting set automatically when we create a record in the software model table .. similarly for product model.

 

Where these conditions are define to autoset?

As per  KB0724180 Model categories field on a CMDB product model always get auto-populated with a model cate... , It is expected Behaviour.

 

There is a OOB BR named "Update model category" in place.

If a record is inserted or updated in any CMDB table, the system validates and updates the corresponding model’s category in the model table if required.

 

My question is regarding the behavior in the Software Model table:

When I directly create a new record in the software model table, the model category is auto-populated. It appears to be set through a wizard, but it is unclear whether this behavior is driven by predefined templates or some underlying configuration.
