Removal candidate creation for uninstallation of Software

Hi All,
Greetings!

We have a requirement , to uninstall software though Removal candidates. Few clarifications required for below points.

*Is there any documents available for configuration

*In one doc it is mentioned like "Removal candidates are also created as part of using remediation options for unlicensed and unallocated software installations".--------is there any automation script available for creation of RC from Remediations options? or every time we need to create it manually ?

*Many Removal candidates have created in our instance with justification 'Restricted software'. I can see those have mentioned as restricted in Software model table. Is the RC creating by any job OR immediately when system detect it after discovery?

*We just installed CSD 2.0, which also imported 'CSD Catalog Item Template'  in maintain items table.  how is this connected with Removal candidates table?

Regards,

Saranya

Hi @saranyavs

As per Client Software Distribution 2.0 application

Also check: https://www.servicenow.com/community/cmdb-forum/removal-of-reclamation-candidates-activity-pack-or-s...

Software revocation

CSD can revoke software requested using the CSD catalog. CSD can also uninstall software using SCCM when revocation is triggered from the reclamation candidates for SCCM provider.

CSD 2.0 can revoke software requested using the CSD 2.0 catalog. CSD 2.0 can also uninstall software using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, and Jamf when revocation is triggered from the reclamation candidates.
