SaaS feature usage is not displaying records.

Hello,

We have direct integration profiles setup for Adobe and Microsoft 365. We want to leverage every feature of SAM Pro for cost saving opportunities and the SaaS feature usage is quite appealing in this regard. The problem we are facing is that this area displays no records.

Would this indicate an issue with the integrations or is there additional setup required to utilize this function? I've also reviewed the SaaS Overview dashboard and noticed that both the unused and stale subscriptions data is empty.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

hello,

Can you confirm if data is getting populated on sapm_sw_subscription Table & you have uploaded entitlement for all those software models and are in active state also Make user that license metric for entitlements are user subscription. As for SAAS dashboard to have these things are mandatory.

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for the response. I confirmed that the samp_sw_subscription table is populated for both our Adobe and M365 subscriptions. All entitlements have been imported, set to active, and have the user subscription license metric.

Hi @ClayB,

for M365 ServiceNow provides a detailed documentation with several steps about the usage.

  1. Please ensure all your SaaS related plugins are up to date
  2. Evaluating software usage activity for Microsoft 365 subscriptions Integrating with Microsoft 365 (servicenow.com) . Please evaluate first what kind of software you would like to track and ensure the mentioned sources are providing these details
  3. For all M365 online services (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Power BI), ensure the following PowerBI read only role is setup and working
    - Setup: Enable service principal authentication for Power-BI read-only APIs Integrating with Microsoft 365 (servicenow.com)
    - Verification: Determine and verify Microsoft 365 subscription information in your ServiceNow instance Integrating with Microsoft 365 (servicenow.com)

If your Power BI usage isn’t getting pulled into Software Asset Management, verify the status of your Power BI API connection:
On the Integration Profile form, right-click the form header.
Select Show XML.
Under <xml> > <samp_sw_subscription_profile> > <custom_properties>, view the powerBIStatus property to determine the status of your Power BI API connection.
If the powerBIStatus property is set to success, the Power BI API connection was successful.
If the powerBIStatus property is set to failed, the Power BI API connection wasn’t successful. Verify that you’ve followed all the integration setup steps correctly. You can also check your logs for more information about any errors in your integration setup.
