SAM license consumption allocation for single SSO with multiiple AD Groups

In ServiceNow SAM, how can license consumption be split when one SSO account is associated with multiple Active Directory groups representing different licensed products? We need to allocate distinct license costs to each product accordingly.

Hi @Juraj3 ,

yes it is, the group and users must be in sync with the SN groups and users. The platform team needs to setup the group sync between Azure and SN for your groups in scope.

What software model should be populated for the parent SSO application?

Should I create a general software model for the overall software product, and then add the specific models for which I need to track licenses using the additional option we discussed earlier?

Hi @Juraj3 , as recommendation, start onboarding your entitlements based on a PPN (if available). If no PPN is available, create the models to match the software product. For all PPN entitlements, the.

 Model will be auto-created.

its not required to create any parent model. The conten library based on PPN and DMAP takes care about all required models.

In some cases, PPNs are missing, and some Software Models for the products are also not available. If users consume multiple licenses (products) via a single SSO, which single Software Model should be linked in the Details tab of the SSO Application?

I have created mappings for each product (AD Group → Software Model) in the SSO Group Software Model Mappings tab.
