Delta Exam - SAM CIS

Hi All,

I have recently changed my company. What should be the next steps to clear my Delta exam? At the moment it is asking me to pay 200 USD to attempt my Delta exam. Some of my friends also has switched company but they didn't require to pay that maintenance fee.

Please suggest.

Hi  @JeetenderA ,

When you change employers, ServiceNow certifications do not automatically carry over with employer‑paid benefits.

The USD 200 amount you are seeing is the Certification Maintenance Program (CMP) fee, which applies when all of the following conditions are met:

• You have held at least one mainline certification (CSA, CAD, CIS, etc.) for one year or more
• A Delta exam window is currently open for the active release
• Your Now Learning account is not associated with a qualifying ServiceNow Customer or Partner organization that covers CMP fees

As per ServiceNow policy:

“An annual certification maintenance fee of $200 (or $100 for Partner organizations) is required once a certification is one year old.”

Why some individuals may not be required to pay

Your colleagues may fall under one of the following exceptions:

• Their certification is less than one year old
  In this case, the Delta exam can be taken at no cost. If less than 12 months have passed since earning the certification, the CMP fee does not apply.

Hi @JeetenderA 

If your company is not partner company, you have to pay the CMP fee to give Delta exam.

If your company having any servicenow Practice team (Servicenow Capability), check with them.

Then do the needful.

For Delta exam: 

• Deadline: April 16, 2026 (for Zurich release).

So before that complete the Delta exam by any cost.

To take the delta their is an associated cost of 200USD. Either you need to pay or your certifications will expire.
