SAM Pro - Unlicensed Installs into Reconciliation for Adobe Acrobat

Hi everyone, I am facing problem to reconcile for Adobe Acrobat, FYI- its integrated and pulling all license subscription users.

There are unlicensed installs which are coming under one software model Adobe Systems Acrobat

But there are two different subscription Plans one for Adobe Acrobat Pro and one for standard.

I have created two entitlements one for Pro and one for Standard also, if I talk about software model, both software models do not have any software installs count, as all licensed installs are in Adobe Systems Acrobat, because the installation is the same for every user, it just the subscription plan which is different for users.)

How to reconcile and true-up compliant, do I need to create another Entitlement for adobe Systems?

I am sure I am missing more things to add/clarify. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Swati ,

You can follow below workaround .

1)Mark installer from subscription license as "Not licensable" .

2)Tie "Users subscription " with entitlement and run reconciliation.

I found this article, SG-SCCM Service Graph Connector, that has section "H. SG-SCCM Software Edition Import Job", but it is not clear to me that this addresses the issue you noted and that we are also working to fix - that the subscription plan is set online and that the installation for Standard and Pro are exactly the same.

On the Adobe admin guide there is this information posted:

64-bit Acrobat Pro vs. Standard

Both the LEID & SWID tag identification methods are not applicable to the Acrobat 64-bit unified installer initially released in Feb. of 2021. To distinguish between Standard and Pro installations, ID the install via the registry:

#. Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\AVEntitlement\iEntitlementLevel # ID the install:

  • 300: Acrobat Pro
  • 200: Acrobat Standard
