Dear Colleagues
I'm trying to do a tidy-up of the software entitlements in our SAM workspace focusing initially on vendors reporting as non-compliant. One of the examples is for Atlassian which is a publisher I have all the licence details readily to hand.
SNOW reports Bamboo Server as Compliant, but reports Bamboo Continuous Integration Server as Non-Compliant. If you click that product, SNOW shows there are 0 unlicensed installs etc. It doesn't even have a software model result and I cannot work out why it's even reporting on Bamboo CI Server separately from Bamboo Server.
Any thoughts on how I should tackle this one?

Hi @Robert80,
looks like that in your instance is an outdated discovery model [cmdb_sam_sw_discovery_model] for "Bamboo Continuous Integration Server" present, but no installation record in [cmdb_sam_sw_install].
Please review the discovery model table [cmdb_sam_sw_discovery_model], identify the matching model related to the in compliant software and confirm there is no software installation linked to this model (Related List)
SAMP provides the following scheduled job to remove discovery models without software installation. This jobs runs on a monthly base .. SAM - Delete Discovery Models if there are no related Installations.
You should excute the job and a reconciliation.
Best, Dennis

Thanks Dennis, this has set me on the right path. Curiously, it looks like there is an install but that's not being reflected on the 'progress indicators' panel in SAM Workspace. Still, it's helped me track down some details that will be very useful.
