ServiceNow Discovery Integration with vCenter Compared to Direct Connection

Dears, 

 

We are planning to implement SN Discovery for SAM. We are validating two methods to get the full benefits of Discovery. The first option is to integrate directly into the infra (IPs and ports)  and get all CI data that can help in service mapping. The second option is discovery using the vCenter connector. 

 

My question is, will I get the same fields if I do it in the vCenter connector? What are the limitations if I go with a vCenter connector?
