Servicxenow sam Reconciliation

I'm trying to select a publisher for Reconciliation in ServiceNow SAM, but the publisher does not appear in the selection list.

The company exists in the Core Company [core_company] table and is marked as a Manufacturer. However, it is still not available for selection during reconciliation.

Are there any additional requirements, relationships, or fields that must be configured for a manufacturer to appear in the Reconciliation publisher list?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @FranckM

If the manufacturer exists but does not appear in reconciliation, the missing piece is mostly one of these:

  1. No Software Entitlement linked to that publisher's Software Model, or
  2. The Software Product is not marked Licensable, or
  3. The Software Model is not properly associated with the manufacturer.

Can you tell me:

  • Is this a custom publisher or one from the Content Library?
  • Does a Software Model already exist for that publisher?
  • Does at least one Entitlement (alm_license) reference that model?

That will narrow it down immediately.

Thanks to @Doctor ITOM, for this summary. One thing to add, the on-boarded entitlement has to be published and must be in status "in Use" to enable the visibility for the SAM recon per publisher.

You could also run a full reconcile to get insights into all unlicensed products (with/without) entitlement. Please check the following Software Asset Property to enable the creation of software model results for all licenses models without entitlements.
