Software allocations to multiple entitlements for the same Saas

Hi, I am at a client

They have a SaaS integration to Office and a number of opco's with their own entitlements (and costs - and indeed, multinational where the costs differ too !)

I know from a Direct Integration Profile I can have multiple connections, and for now, we have done this to get the data in, but how does the instance know how to allocate each software subscription to each entitlement ?  I have looked at consumption rules and that is dire in documentation and not even sure if this is what I should be looking at.

I am looking at tweaking the flow and action so that I can create multiple Integration Profiles (each specifically named) and assigning the connection to that profile. This way, when the data is retrieved it is easily identifiable as being associated to opco x (or for us at least).

Still leaves me wondering how Servicenow determines which entitlement should be assigned per software subscription.

I do not think the client will be impressed if it is a do it manually as this client has a lot (150k+) licenses and many thousands of entitlements (I think for office we are currently looking at 70+)

While I have worked on this before it has generally been a license controlled a the top level so quite easy

Anyone know how servicenow will handle this configuration - many entitlements and many connections (tenant and environment) and auto assign licenses correctly ?

Thanks in advnace

For each integraton profile

Modified the form so I can choose the relevant "sub flow"

Have to copy the action that initiates the connection and add an option to have a connection as an input and modify the action to use that instead of the hard coded entry (SNC, you tell us not to do this, but you do)

Have to copy the sub flow and then change the action that is used to establish the connection and to then pass the connection we have stored on the integration record.

Need to amend other steps incase they are now using different fd_data entries

Added options on the integration profile form for the company/location and other other identifiers.

Once done, for an integration you can have multiple integration profiles.

Have to modify the user allocations so that it can see what software model this impacts, then see what direct integrations there are, and then see if that user has an entry in the software subscriptions.  If so, modify the user user allocation to go to the correct entitlement
