How to make software asset workspace visible only to SAM ADMINS

Restrict Access to the Module

Set the role restriction on the Software Asset Workspace module.

  • Open the Software Asset Workspace module record.
  • In the Roles field, add the SAM Admin role.
  • Save the record.

This ensures that only users with the SAM Admin role can see this module in the navigation menu.

I tried this but this is still visible to users who have SAM_USER role . 

This has to be done via ux property but how I dont know ?

Hi @harry24,

 

I would be interested to know the use case for this restriction. The workspace is actually intended as a central starting point for all SAM activities. One more note on the solution described by @PrashantLearnIT  (thanks!): all SAM Pro-relevant tables are still visible to users with the role “sam_user” and data can be modified (e.g. create entitlement).

He asked only how we can restrict the Workspace for SAM_ADMIN, otherwise I could have suggested something else.
