SQL Servers and its Child Components

Hello, 

 

I wanted to ask why the SQL Server components are showing as individual products in Software Asset Workspace? If it is becuase they are individual products, are there any means to hide the components and just show the SQL Server only?

Hi @Catherine16 ,

SQL licensing is based on two editions Enterprise/Standard. As soon you’ve created the entitlements please check the linked software models and its suite components. You’ll see, all components are edition based.

 

When opening one of the shown components on the lists you should see the following combinations

- Software Model without Edition > Check the linked software install and ensure the edition is discovered and part of the software installation

- Software Models with Edition and or Version > Check the „installs requiring actions“ in this case SAMP identified an issue with the record which blocks the processing during the recon.

 

as soon both are solved (missing edition, requiring action) the component models should disappear.
