We are running Discovery using Tanium and noticed that several software installations detected in Tanium are not appearing in the cmdb_sam_sw_install (Software Installations) table in SAM Pro.
Has anyone experienced this mismatch?
I am specifically trying to understand:
- Why Tanium‑detected installations sometimes fail to create Software Installation records
- Whether there are known gaps, mapping issues, or reconciliation rules that prevent creation
- Any logs, transform maps, or diagnostic steps recommended for Tanium → SAM data flow
Any guidance or troubleshooting directions would be greatly appreciated.
