Hi all,
Hoping someone can help shed some information on a couple of tables.
We have been doing some work with VMware and noticed that there are two tables that relate to SAM (VMware Discovered License Key Consumption + VMware Discovered License Key). Assuming these tables have been filled with data through enabling the correct discovery probes. Does the data from these tables then get counted towards reconciliation? Or, is this data used more for validation etc?
I seen a post from a couple of years ago (https://www.servicenow.com/community/sam-forum/samp-vmware-license-key-table-and-vmware-licensing/m-...) that mentions that the data in these tables doesn't count towards reconciliation and that installs are still the main source of usage but, with this post being a few years old I wondered if anything had changed.
Any information relating to this would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Cairns

Hi @dreinhardt ,
Thanks for the reply. To be honest, this is what I expected to be the answer but was hoping there might have been some change in the years. Either way, thank you for sending on an update.
Regards,
Cairns
